Account and sign-in
You need an account to use Healtly; your plan and records are kept in it, so they survive a change of phone. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with your email and a password.
- The verification code did not arrive: the code is sent from noreply@healtly.app and is valid for 10 minutes. Check your junk folder; if it is not there, tap Resend code on the code screen.
- Forgotten password: tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your email address; you set a new password with the 6-digit code we send.
- Changing your password: Profile › Account › Change Password.
- Signing out: Profile › Account › Sign Out. Your data stays in your account and comes back when you sign in again.
- My email looks hidden after Sign in with Apple: when you choose “Hide My Email”, Apple gives us a private relay address for you; your account works as usual.
Subscription and payment
Healtly runs on a subscription, with weekly, monthly and yearly plans. For new subscribers the yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial. You see the current prices on the plan screen in the app before you buy; payment is taken by Apple.
- Cancelling: on your iPhone, go to Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Healtly › Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from the app: Profile › Manage Subscription. Apple’s cancellation guide (opens in a new tab) has step-by-step instructions.
- When to cancel: a subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. To avoid being charged after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds: Apple processes the payments, so Apple also decides on refund requests. You can ask at reportaproblem.apple.com (opens in a new tab) (how to (opens in a new tab)).
- New phone or reinstall: with the same Apple Account, tap Restore Purchases on the plan screen or in Profile.
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription. You need to cancel it separately as described above.
The details are in the Terms of Use.
Your data and deleting your account
- Deleting your account: Profile › Privacy and Data › Delete My Account. Your account is deleted permanently together with your profile, meal and water records, weigh-ins, badges and profile photo. This cannot be undone.
- If you cannot get into the app: write to destek@healtly.app from the email address of your account and we will delete your account and data for you.
- A copy of your data: if you would like a copy of the data in your account, just write to us.
The Privacy Policy explains what is kept where, and your rights.
Apple Health
- Turning it on and off: the Sync with Apple Health switch on the Profile › Apple Health card. While it is on, your food, water and weight records are written to Health, and your activity and weigh-ins are read from it.
- Permissions: on your iPhone, under Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Healtly, you can change which data is read and written.
- Removing the records in Health: the option Disconnect and delete data in Health on the same card deletes what Healtly wrote to Health; your records in Healtly are not affected.
Meal reminders
- How they work: when a meal’s time has passed and you have not added any food to that meal yet, Healtly reminds you with a notification; if you have already logged the meal, no notification appears. Tapping the notification opens the add-food screen for that meal. Reminders are scheduled on your device; no internet connection is needed.
- Turning them on and off, and times: on the Profile › Meal Reminders card you can turn all reminders or individual meals on and off, and change the time for each meal.
- Notifications are not arriving: on your iPhone, check that Allow Notifications is on under Settings › Notifications › Healtly. While a Focus such as Do Not Disturb is on, notifications may be silenced; if you do not open the app for a week, reminders stop and are set up again when you open it.
Food recognition from photos
- The results are estimates. The AI estimates the foods on your plate, their portions and calories; you can correct the amount of each food before saving.
- Withdrawing your consent: turn off the Profile › Privacy and Data › Food Recognition from Photos switch. While it is off no photo is sent; you can add foods by searching.
- Daily limit: to prevent abuse there is a daily limit on analyses per account; if you reach it, you can try again the next day.
Calculations and sources
Healtly is a tracking and information tool; it does not offer medical diagnosis or treatment advice. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a chronic condition or a history of an eating disorder, build your plan together with a healthcare professional. The numbers in your plan are based on these sources:
- Daily energy needs: basal metabolic rate is calculated with the Mifflin–St Jeor equation (Mifflin et al., Am J Clin Nutr 1990 (opens in a new tab)) and multiplied by 1.375 for a lightly active day.
- Body mass index (BMI) and healthy weight range: the World Health Organization’s classification for adults (18.5–24.9 normal, 25 and above overweight, 30 and above obesity; WHO (opens in a new tab)).
- Pace and first goal: a weight loss of about 0.5–1 kg a week (NHS (opens in a new tab)) and, as a first goal, about 10% of your weight (NIH/NHLBI practical guide (opens in a new tab); NICE NG246 (opens in a new tab)).
- Calorie deficit and lower limit: 1 kg of body fat is taken as roughly 7,700 kcal (Wishnofsky, Am J Clin Nutr 1958 (opens in a new tab)); the daily target is never set below 1,200 kcal for women or 1,500 kcal for men (NIH/NHLBI guide).
- Water goal: calculated with the common rule of about 35 ml per kg of body weight; the European Food Safety Authority considers a total water intake of 2.0–2.5 litres a day adequate for adults (EFSA, 2010 (opens in a new tab)).
- Nutritional values: Türkiye’s National Food Composition Database (TÜRKOMP (opens in a new tab)), the US Department of Agriculture’s FoodData Central (opens in a new tab), manufacturers’ package labels and the nutrition tables published by restaurant chains.
All values are estimates based on averages; your personal needs may differ.
